Extended deadline: EWG ORD – IFORS Workshop on OR for Development, July 9-10, 2015, Glasgow
Operational Researchers who have done work in the area of OR for Development are invited to participate in the EWG ORD –IFORS Workshop on OR for Development, 9-10 July 2015, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. For more details see the website: http://ifors.org/ewg-ord/. This event is taking place prior to EURO 2015, 12-15 July in Glasgow.
To qualify, participants are required to submit a full paper on their work which has used Operational Research to help optimize development in the light of constraints and limited resources. Topic areas may include: education, health, and other basic services, water, technology, resource use (physical or financial), infrastructure, agricultural/industrialization, environmental sustainability. A stress on developmental issues will be an important factor; papers of a purely technical nature, or those that have no relevance in the developmental context, will not be considered.
