CENSUS APPLICATIONS: USING THE UK'S POPULATION CENSUS DATA

July 16-17 2015
Now that nearly all census outputs are out and being used the UK Data Service are hosting a two day conference to celebrate the UK censuses.
We are seeking offers of papers on both analysis and methods.
Census methods include policy issues, statistical principles and technological innovation relating to census design, output and dissemination as well as statistical approaches to analysing the final products. We are keen to hear from data producers, distributors and methodologists.
Census findings include, inter alia, those which relate to; social outcomes, divisions and difference, social change, geographical patterns and mobility. Analyses may use a mixture of sources and could draw on aggregate, flow or microdata including longitudinal or historical microdata sources.
Presenters will have 20 minutes for their talk followed by 10 minutes for questions.
Please send offers of a paper, including an abstract of no more than 300 words, to [log in to unmask] at the UK Data Service as soon as possible but by Friday 27th Feburary 2015 at the latest.
Venue: Humanities Bridgeford Street Building, University of Manchester, Oxford Road, Manchester
General conference places will cost £100 per person to include drinks, lunch and conference dinner. Students places will be available at £50 per person.
Residential accommodation should be booked separately.
