Cambridge University Library is seeking to recruit a Senior Systems Librarian (Fixed term, 2 year appointment) who will be a key member of the programme team working on a critical initiative to replace the current Library Management System with a new modern capability that meets the future needs of the University. The LMS serves the library management requirements of the University Library, its affiliated libraries, the libraries of the faculties and departments, and many of the colleges of the University.
The Senior Systems Librarian will be responsible for leading on the technical requirements gathering for the library management system to replace Voyager and for defining, documenting, and seeking approval of the underlying technical architecture for the systems that will support and interface with the LMS replacement system(s). He or she will advise on all technical aspects of the programme, and associated systems and interfaces. The Senior Systems Librarian will work with other members of the programme team and stakeholders across the University to ensure that the replacement LMS integrates with a range of University and external systems, including the student records, learning management, and institutional repository systems, to deliver the full benefits of the programme, developing and implementing the integration. He or she will be responsible for integrating the new LMS and Discovery layer with existing library systems This role is both that of a systems architect and a systems integration developer.
Salary: £38,511-£48,743.
