We are looking at increasing what we do. We currently mainly run staff and research student sessions on citation tracking and analysis, currently 4 a year but may increase that as demand grows. We also do some ad hoc advocacy work with academics and directors of research and expect this aspect to grow as we look at strategies to publish in higher quality journals. We currently mainly use Scopus, Google Scholar and JCR with some use of Scival. We are also investigating a number of tools generally around the area of altmetrics/research impact and will roll out some services on these once we are a bit further on

Subject: Bibliometric practices in post-1992 HEIs
A colleague and I were musing today about bibliometric activity in post-1992 organisations and I offered to put out a question to the Lis-Bibliometrics list. So, if you are based in a post-92 and would be willing to share the extent of your bibliometric activity, (tools, services, training, etc) I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to contact me off-list and I'll summarise and anonymise responses for the list.
Many thanks
