This one day conference brings together leading proponents of qualitative longitudinal research methods to present new research in the areas of the life course, families, welfare and generational change, and in the re-use of qualitative longitudinal data. As a tribute to Professor Bren Neale on her retirement, the conference celebrates her contributions in these areas and will explore current conditions, opportunities and directions for the future. Confirmed speakers include: Profs. Tess Ridge, Rachel Thomson, Irene Hardill, Henrietta O'Connor, John Goodwin, Joanna Bornat, and Bren Neale, and Drs. Libby Bishop, Jane Gray, and Kahryn Hughes.

Please note that this one-day conference immediately follows a research methods training event on Qualitative Longitudinal Research (an advanced workshop on the design, conduct and ethics of QL research, data analysis and the uses of archived data) on 8th June, also at the University of Leeds.
