The Leverhulme Centre for Advanced Biological Modelling (CABM) at the
University of Sheffield is inviting applications for funded PhD
studentships on a range of mathematical and statistical topics in
biology, including statistical ecology and environmental effects on
behaviour and on population and disease dynamics.
The CABM aims to attract outstanding students from the mathematical and
physical sciences, and train them to address leading biological
problems. The majority of the projects have supervisors both from
mathematics/statistics and from biology, and some of them are led by and
based in the School of Mathematics & Statistics.
For general information and links to individual projects, please see
http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/aps/prospectivepg/phd/graduate-opportunities/cabmprojects
Please note the closing date of 18th February. This is an update and
expansion of a previous announcement, covering a wider range of
projects; apologies for the overlap.
