PS I should add that clinisys will supply the test script to you when
they have the hot fix available for use. Anne

16 Feb 2015 to 17 Feb 2015 (#2015-11)

We have been testing the clinisys AKI hotfix algorithm at UCLH. A number
of issues were detected in test winpath that appear to have been fixed.

It was installed in live winpath earlier last week for test patients
only - that revealed some unintended consequences that are being fixed.

We started running for patients in live winpath from last Friday
alongside our existing alert - we currently flag 50% increase from
previous result.
The new AKI warning comment is suppressed and not visible to clinicians
or intelligible to lab staff apart from a few of us - we continue to
operate and act on our current AKI flags.
We are reviewing the results - the sheer number of alerts generated with
the new algorithm compared with our current version makes this
time-consuming.

best wishes

I've been told the patch is back with Clinisys development team.

Do people have a script to test it against? If so, could they share it
as I've been asking for a basic template but not getting anywhere.

Thanks

Have any Clinisys WinPath users seen their version of the AKI algorithm
yet?
It was supposed to be released by the end of January, but they are being
somewhat vague/evasive as to when it will be installed. We are on SP 28
which is supposed to be the version it was to be included in, but it is
not there.
So, if anyone has it already we would be very interested to know, and
how it is going with testing against the script.
Many Thanks,

Dear All,
We have been beta testing the Clinisys AKI algorithm patch at Surrey
Pathology Services. Just concluding it now. I will post some details
on here later this week of our findings. We haven't yet done the live
testing to demonstrate impact on the IT system as a whole but will also
feed that back as soon as we can.

Thanks

Sally

Subject: AKI algorithm testing scripts

Is there any mechanism to get hold of the AKI algorithm testing scripts?

Our LIMS provider is HP (we still use the Swift IHCS LIMS (HP). The NHS
Algorithm is written and ready to test in our training systems and we
don't want to write our own testing scripts if they already exist.

Kind Regards,
