Thank you Tony, I found that a fascinating first-hand insight into the menace of carbon dioxide: invisible, odourless and heavier than air. In more recent decades a very common carbon dioxide hazard occurs amongst small miners and well sinkers when an internal combustion engine-driven generator is positioned beside the shaft, or a vehicle is left idling nearby.
