Bernie Folan joins Burgundy Information Services to promote publishing
portfolio in Europe
Oxford, UK (February 9, 2015) ­ Burgundy Information Services is pleased to
announce that Bernie Folan of Bernie Folan Research & Consulting is to join
our team to help promote our publisher e-resources and services to libraries
across Europe.  
This is to be an exciting partnership that will see Bernieıs 20+ years
experience in the scholarly publishing industry brought to Burgundyıs
existing highly motivated team.  Bernie will be bringing her sales and
marketing expertise to European markets including: UK, Ireland, Belgium, The
Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece & Turkey.
Bernie was most recently Head of Library Marketing at SAGE where she worked
in various marketing roles for over 20 years.  In 2014 she founded her
research and consulting company and recently launched the Scholarly Social
networking event.   Bernie speaks at scholarly information conferences and
seminars and has published articles about challenges in social science
research and library-publisher collaboration. She has a passion for
understanding customer needs and supporting academic research and teaching,
and in understanding its changing nature.

Speaking of the partnership Bernie Folan says ³I am delighted to be joining

much looking forward to building on existing relationships as well as
forging new ones; understanding the needs of the libraries we work with
perfectly complements my research and consulting interests.²
