On Thursday 26 March 2015, WECIL is holding a one-day conference at the BAWA Club, Southmead. It will look at the benefits and barriers of direct payments and employing personal assistant(s) for different groups of disabled people.
Topics include choice and control, direct payments, the PA/employer relationship, personalisation and the Care Act.
Speakers include: Alex Fox, Shared Lives CEO; Dr Tom Porter, researcher at University of East Anglia; Lindsay Winterton, Care Act Lead, Bristol City Council. Full programme attached but also available on www.wecil.co.uk
