We’re very pleased to invite you to a free evening seminar in London next month:
‘The value of Understanding Society for current research’
With Professor Nick Buck, Institute for Social and Economic Research, University of Essex.
Understanding Society, the UK Household Longitudinal Study is a long-term project intended to address some of the most important issues facing the UK. It is now at the stage where a substantial body of longitudinal data is available. This presentation provides a brief overview of the study and focuses on the research opportunities with data now available, using some examples from recent work. It focusses on both the use of measures repeated at very wave, e.g. related to income or family change and some of the more detailed modules. It also discusses arrangements for accessing the data and user support.
An audience Q&A and discussion will follow the presentation.
Professor Nick Buck has been Director of Understanding Society since its establishment in 2007. He previously directed the British Household Panel Study.
