CALL FOR PAPERS - Deadline 31st January 2015

Universities are increasingly involved in developing Research Data Services (RDS), and libraries are often taking a leadership role in building collaborative, multi-professional teams to support better RDM.
RDS include:
* Institutional policies;
* Advisory services, including guidance web sites and services supporting preparing Data Management Plans (DMPs);
* Researcher training programmes, be that for Principal Investigators, Early career researchers and/or PhD students;
* Institutional data repositories or data catalogues.
The journal Program is calling for Case study articles of around 6000 words analysing local development of RDS.
Case studies could focus on one area of service development (eg policy creation), ground work for RDS (eg user requirements gathering) or review the range of services being developed in one institution.
Case studies may chart the evolution from project to service.
They will offer critical analysis of on-going issues and challenges; and include a strong element of evaluation. What choices were made and how were problems dealt with?
What is the future direction of travel?
Case studies from both research intensive and non-research intensive institutions are very much welcomed. Developments in terms of shared services would also be of interest.
