Hi All
Keeping accurate and up to date evidence of the work your organisation does has become both more important and more challenging in the digital age, because colleagues now have so many different places in which to store and share the documentation of their work.
Our one-day Introduction to Records Management course on 10th February looks at the core principles of records management, and how they can be applied to assess and improve your organisation's record management systems, policies and practice.
For senior managers looking for ways of managing content spread across multiple repositories, our New Approaches to Records Management workshop on 21st January will consider current trends in records management thought and practice. The Standard is being rewritten and new tools are appearing on the market: old ideas are being questioned and new ideas are emerging, in particular from the world of information governance.
This workshop will help you:
• understand the strengths and weaknesses of these new tools and ideas
• compare them with more established records management approaches such as the electronic records management system approach
• assess whether they would work in your organisation
If either of these workshops are of interest to you or a colleague in your professional circle and you would like to reserve your place, please feel free to email or call me for further details. Alternatively, to view the full course overviews and to book your place online, please click http://courses.tfpl.com/services/coursedesc.cfm?id=TR966&did=2 for our Introduction to Records Management course or http://courses.tfpl.com/services/coursedesc.cfm?id=TR2497&did=2 for our New Approaches to Records Management workshop.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or queries on either of our workshops. I'd be delighted to help.
Best wishes
Maria
