Hello CRUMB list,
On behalf of my collaborators, I would like to invite you to participate in
the 2015 International Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon. The events will
take place on International Women's Day weekend, March 7 & 8. Do you want
to join participants in Washington DC, Los Angeles, Brussels, Vancouver,
Paris and Amsterdam in organizing your own satellite event?
We have 7 European events in the works (Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels,
Copenhagan, Lisbon, Paris, and West Yorkshire) and about 50 North American
events in the works. We also have events in NZ and India. Some, but not all
of these are posted on our Wikipedia meetup page:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism
If you are interesting in getting involved in joining or organizing an
event, contact us at [log in to unmask] If you are in North
America, we can help you find an event near your (or start your own). If
you are elsewhere, we can help you organize, and have funds for food &
childcare. We would love to see this grow in Europe, and expand to Latin
America, Asia, and Africa.
Forwardable email below, (please forward!)

Art+Feminism <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/ArtAndFeminism>
is a campaign to improve coverage of women and the arts on Wikipedia, and
to encourage female editorship. On February 1st, 2014, approximately 600
participants, convened in 31 locations in 6 countries to edit Wikipedia
articles on women and the arts. During this day, at least 101 new articles
were created, and at least 90 articles improved. Highlights from the over
40 press stories include an LA Weekly feature story, the most shared
article in ARTnews history, and a 30 minute podcast from Bitch Magazine.
This year, we want your help!
We have confirmed events at MoMA, LACMA, the Stedelijk Museum, Art Gallery
Ontario, The Walker Art Center, the National Museum of Women in the Arts,
and have another 50 events in the works. The New York City location of the
2nd Annual Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon
<http://art.plusfeminism.org/?page_id=304> will take place at the Dorothy
and Lewis B. Cullman Education and Research Building at MoMA, 4 West 54
