Dear Colleagues,
I would appreciate if you could bring this opportunity to the attention of appropriate candidates.
A postdoctoral scholar position is available in the group of Professor Dong-Sheng Yang (https://chem.as.uky.edu/users/dyang0) at The University of Kentucky. Research projects involve the spectroscopic characterization of the metal-promoted bond activation of hydrocarbon compounds. The activation reactions are carried out in a pulsed molecular beam source and studied by photoionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry; pulsed-field ionization zero electron kinetic energy, mass-analyzed threshold ionization, and infrared-ultraviolet photoionization spectroscopies; and photoelectron velocity-map imaging. The experimental measurements are supplemented with quantum chemical calculations.
The University of Kentucky is located in Lexington-the heart of the Kentucky’s beautiful Bluegrass region. The position is initially for one year and is renewable upon mutual agreement. Applicants should have a PhD in chemistry or physics with skills in gas phase molecular-beam laser spectroscopy or velocity-map imaging. Experience in computational chemistry will also be valued. To apply, please send a letter of interest and a CV to Dong-Sheng Yang ([log in to unmask]).
