To those in London later this week, the following events may be of interest.
Voices Appeared is a collaboration between the KCL School of Arts & Humanities and the Orlando Consort, who will perform a newly constructed soundtrack of fifteenth-century music to Carl Theodor Dreyer's 1928 film La Passion de Jeanne d'Arc. There will be a preview performance of the project on Thursday 15th January (7pm, Lucas Theatre), and a day-long workshop on Friday 16th January (10:30am-5pm, SWB 21 & 20, KCL Music Department). The workshop will consist of a series of panel discussions with scholars and performers from various disciplines, focusing on aspects of the film, its new musical soundtrack, and the life and times of Joan of Arc.
