PLATFORMS FOR CREATIVITY - Talk and workshop
The event is the first in a series organised jointly by DJCAD and Creative Dundee to celebrate Dundee's new status as a UNESCO City of Design.
Professor Mike Press, chair of design policy at DJCAD, said:
"We are delighted that David Gauntlett and Amy Twigger Holroyd can come to Dundee from London and Leeds to share their ideas and especially their innovative creative methods with us. Their lecture and workshop will provide participants with an inspiring approach to creative thinking rooted in the latest research."
The talk and workshop are both free and all are welcome.
David Gauntlett is a professor in the Faculty of Media, Arts and Design, University of Westminster. He is the author of several books, including Making is Connecting (2011) and Making Media Studies (2015).
Amy Twigger Holroyd is a designer, maker, and researcher, who founded the experimental knitwear label Keep & Share ten years ago. She is now working on the Design Routes project at the University of Leeds.
