2015 CHORD Conference Call for Papers.
'Retailing and Distribution History'
10 September 2015
University of Wolverhampton, UK
The Centre for the History of Retailing and Distribution invites submissions for its 2015 annual conference. As always, we welcome papers both from experienced and from new scholars - papers from all disciplinary, chronological and geographical contexts are equally welcome. This year, we particularly invite contributions to 5 strands (although contributions outside these strands are also welcome):
§ Rural retailing and distribution
§ Retailing, distribution and the family
§ Retailing history and shopping in museums and / or the media
§ Retailing, distribution and politics
§ Urban and suburban retailing and distribution
To submit a proposal, please send title and abstract of c.300 to 400 words, indicating (if applicable) which strand would be the best fit, to Karin Dannehl at [log in to unmask] and Laura Ugolini at [log in to unmask] by 17 April 2015. Potential speakers who are unsure whether to submit a proposal are warmly welcomed to contact the organisers to discuss their proposed paper.
The Conference will be held at the University of Wolverhampton, on Wolverhampton City Campus, a mere 10-minute walk from Wolverhampton’s bus and train stations. For directions see http://www.wlv.ac.uk/default.aspx?page=6856.
