The Load2Learn service is a joint service delivered by Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) and Dyslexia Action. The development of the service was funded by the Department for Education (DfE).
Load2Learn is a free, online resource of UK curriculum materials in accessible formats for all education levels. Our goal is to enable learners with print disabilities to reach their full educational potential, by making accessible versions of educational resources available to recognised educational establishments, for use with learners with recognised print disabilities, particularly those with dyslexia or who are blind or partially sighted in a safe, secure, timely and cost-effective way.
We have over 3,000 members and we work with more than 35 publishers, including Pearson, Oxford University Press, Hodder Education, Taylor and Francis, HarperCollins and Palgrave Macmillan. We also work closely with the Publishers Association.
Publishers work with us because it saves them time and costs dealing with requests. Members work with us because they have access to thousands of resources. The title you want may already be available for download without you ever having to contact the publisher. If the title is not available, Load2Learn will ask the publisher for the file for you and when it is uploaded to the site it will become a resource available to all educational establishments registered to Load2Learn, not just the school/university or library who asked for it. Members are only provided with download access once their account has been verified, to confirm they are an educational establishment.
My name is Tracy Pearson and I currently manage the Load2Learn service. If you would like any more information about the service please go to the Load2Learn web page at www.load2learn.org.uk or e-mail me at [log in to unmask]
