The role I am managing currently is for a really Agile company who are looking to develop their staff, if you have a background in Sciences, GiS or Computing that would be seen in high regards.

You will get to work with lots of different technologies, particularly open source and mobile (Python, PHP, IDL, C/C++ or Java, iOS and Android).

Role:
This is a truly agile and autonomous role and you will be able to get involved in anything relating to software engineering. As Software Engineer / Analyst Programmer / Developer you will design, and develop geospatial imagery software on behalf of a range of organisations in the following sectors R&D, Government, Defence and utilities.
You must be comfortable working with new and differing open source technologies.
Candidate:
• Experience of fast paced and agile projects
• Keen interest in science and GiS
• Software development skills on Linux with some of the following technologies Python, PHP, IDL, C/C++ or Java
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Have the tenacity and ability to learn new technologies
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience developing software in the Geospatial domain
• Projects involving mage and/or sensory elements will be seen in high regard
• Experience with web technologies
• Processing services
• Mapping tools for example; ESRI Mapping tools, Google Maps, BatchGeo
• Experience with GIS software for example; Capaware,Jump GiS, Kalypso, Mapnik, MapGuide Open Source)
• Ideally degree educated possibly in Computer Science, Mathematics, Sciences, Geospatial or GiS
• SC or DV Clearance (eligible or willing to undergo)
