We are pleased to announce that the first issue of Democratic Theory: An Interdisciplinary Journal has been published by Berghahn Journals. This special issue is titled The Crisis of Democracy: Which Crisis? Which Democracy? This special issue consists of articles approaching the contemporary crisis of democracy from a variety of theoretical and empirical perspectives. The three sections in this issue fulfill the aims of this special issue by deepening our understanding of the variety of phenomena and context-dependent nuances involved in the diagnoses of “democracy in crisis.”
