CERGE-EI in Prague, Czech Republic invites applications for its Career Integration Fellowship (CIF), part of its larger Teaching Fellows program which seeks to increase the quality of economics education throughout Central and Eastern Europe and the countries of the former Soviet Union (CEE/fSU).
The CIF program provides support of USD 7200 per year for three years for Western European, North American and Australia / New Zealand-trained Economics PhD graduates who accept full-time academic appointments at universities in CEE/fSU.
In addition to financial support, the fellowship also provides academic support, including opportunities to make research visits to CERGE-EI in Prague and access to CERGE-EI's excellent economic library resources on site and remotely. Fellows join an established community of outstanding economists with Western education who are making significant strides in helping to modernize education in this vital field of study in the region.
The deadline for applications is 1 April 2015 for fellowships starting in the 2015-16 academic year. In cases where an applicant needs a quick decision due to a specific job offer in the CEE/fSU region, we are typically able to fast-track the process and make decisions within two weeks upon receipt of the application.
