Call for papers for EU-China/Asia Relations at the 45th UACES Annual Conference
Bilbao, Spain, 7-9 September 2015
The European Union and China established diplomatic relations on 6 May
1975. The year of 2015 sees the 40th anniversary of the establishment
of diplomatic relations between the EU and China, a bilateral
partnership with growing spectrum and importance. Based on the
successful panels at UACES conferences in Passau, Leed and Cork, the
UACES Collaborative Research Network on EU-China Relations
(www.uaces.org/china) is again organising EU-China/Asia streams at the
2015 UACES conference, which will take place in the Spanish city of
Bilbao, between 7 and 9 September
(http://uaces.org/events/conferences/bilbao/).
The UACES Collaborative Research Network on EU-China Relations was
initiated by ESSCA School of Management at Angers, College of Europe
at Bruges and Graduate School of Global Politics at Freie Universität
Berlin. The CRN welcomes paper submission on any of the broad themes
and topics below, or on related subjects:
- 40 years of Diplomatic Relations in Review
- The New European Leadership and its impact on EU-China relations
- Trade and Investment flows between the EU and China
- The importance of people-to-people exchange in bilateral relations
- EU-China cooperation in global issues: energy, environment and
security (conventional and new security challenges)
- EU, China and regional integration and interregional dialogue
(ASEM, APEC, 16+1 etc.)
