Salary : £25,513 to £29,552 (G5) or £30,434 to £36,309 (G6) per annum
depending on appointment
Hours per week : Full-time
You will be involved in statistical modelling to generate clinical
predictive models that can be used to stratify the type 2 diabetic
population by cancer risk. You will be expected to complete expert
statistical analyses to support and drive research outputs in the
Institute of Cancer Sciences, and Centre for Health Informatics and
undertake methodological and applied scientific excellence in support
of the Institutes.
Under the guidance of academic colleagues, you will be expected to
undertake statistical modelling to derive clinical prediction models.
You will also contribute to the development and management of a
world-renowned research capability focused on extracting knowledge
from large repositories of anonymised healthcare data.
You should hold a good undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics
or a degree with a strong mathematical / statistical element. For the
Grade 6 role, you will be expected to hold a PhD in Statistics or a
related field.
This post is available with immediate effect for a period of two years.

you do not have permission to work in the UK, the University of
