Hi Theresa
This is all information I am trying to find out for myself at the moment. I am finding it very difficult to arrange a meeting with the ED staff. They are currently participating in the RATPAC trial using the AQT 90 so I need to determine what their stance is on this if they are wishing to participate in the BEST trial. I believe there was also some confusion relating to the NICE guidance DG15, which referred to laboratory methods for high-sensitive troponin assays. Review of the AQT 90 sensitivity seemed to cause some doubt over its performance, but then the equipment was brought in years ago without any input from the laboratory, and no validation was performed. I will keep you posted when I finally meet up with the staff to discuss things further.
Kind regards
Michelle

Hi,
I wonder if you could tell me why your ED are looking to move away from the AQT90? We have iStats on ED but they are looking to introduce the AQT90 for Troponin.
Thanks,
Theresa
