The Cairo Community Interpreter Project (CCIP) Spring 2015 Training Edition will take place February 18-28, 2015, over 8 full-days (9am-6pm daily with lunch provided), on The American University in Cairo's Tahrir Campus.
Now in its 13th year, the CCIP training will provide 60 hours of intensive and practical instruction in community interpreting skills for individual screening and interviews with migrant and refugees service providers.
The training is free of charge and all migrants, refugees, and asylum seekers living in Cairo, Egypt are eligible to apply.
Applicants should speak fluently any language from the migrant communities + highly proficient English.
Applications from qualified female candidates are especially encouraged.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for oral and written entrance exams to be accepted into the training.
