Dear UKMCG members
I’m working with a country park in Southampton which houses the remains of a Victorian military hospital. We’re preparing an activity plan to gain HLF funding to deliver an exciting new project at the site of the former hospital.
So far, activity with schools has been quite limited and generic and we obviously want to expand on the offer for primary and secondary schools. I’d be really grateful to hear from anyone who could tell me about their education service –
Who is your main audience for school sessions?
What are the most popular topics and approaches with different key stages?
Have you noticed any changes in demand from schools in light of new curriculum changes?
We have a strong connection to the development of psychiatric care so I would be particularly interested to speak to museums who are tackling this area within their schools’ activities.
Many thanks for your help.
