Bradley Garrett is an American-born social and cultural geographer He is the controversial author of Explore Everything: Place-Hacking the City: an ethnographic account of the activities of the London Consolidation Crew (LCC) of urban explorers. In October 2013, Prestel Publishing released a photographic book, Subterranean London: Cracking the Capital, Garrett compiled with the LCC and which featured a foreword by Will Self. In the following September, Garrett moved from the University of Oxford to take up his post as Lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Southampton.

Born in Manchester in 1963, Nicholas Royle is a novelist, editor and literary reviewer. He is the author of seven novels, two novellas and a short story collection. A senior lecturer in creative writing at the Manchester Writing School at Manchester Metropolitan University, he also runs Nightjar Press, publishing original short stories as signed, limited-edition chapbooks. He works as a fiction reviewer for The Independent and the Warwick Review and as an acclaimed fiction editor for Salt Publishing. Stewart Home, writing in the Big Issue in the North, described Royle ‘as the only writer I’d happily describe as a cross between Iain Sinclair and Ian Rankin’.
