When there is only one message in a post, it makes it interesting to craft a continuation on a matter of interest, if only to the messenger, at this time of the year, but information research makes such of one of these comments, for I've gone back to Garfield, who Tom might remember, his paper of information retrieval in the arts and humanities and his primitives.
What fascinated me was his defence of Kuhn, which at that date in the natural sciences I think showed courage, and his complete incomprehension of the arts and humanities as subject based publication medium.
Information research of course covers all matters. I'd be really interested to find out how many manners are known to extract from Tom's organ the matters dealing with the arts and humanites (yes, I know this is a circular argument).
I've just come across the term scholiography, which seems to me a useful one, and an even more this time of year oriented one, porneia. Now those are joined with ands and ors to make knew terms.
