Dear Colleagues,
To develop background material for the CSIRO Design Capacity Mapping Project, we are asking four quick questions of different groups. The four questions appear at the bottom of this note.
We’d like the thoughts of list members from the ADM-HEA list. All we need is a short, quick reply.
Please use the space beneath each question for your answers and post the reply to Heico Wesselius — the CSIRO Research Fellow — off-list at:

We will publish our collated responses in the New Year.
Yours,
Ken

Four Questions:
1) Who is doing work in design research or design practice that promises to advance the field in a significant way?
2) What key books or articles should everyone read to understand advanced research and best practice in the design field today?
3) What books in the design field do you believe deserve to be labeled as “classics” that form the foundation of thinking in the field?
4) Please name several people whose thinking and research you feel is particularly useful and promising. We are building our board of reviewers and we want your advice on people who will add value to the community. Please give names and institutional affiliations. If you have email addresses, we will welcome them.
