Dear All
I’d be interested to hear from any institution that offers joint and/or dual awards with a partner institution, either here in the UK or overseas. What I’m particularly interested in is how you manage certificates and transcripts. Do you, for example, issue a single certificate, with wording such as ‘jointly awarded with ….’ , or a two-part certificate, with wording along the lines of ‘jointly awarded with…’ and ‘not valid without….’? And, how do you manage crests, signatures, and the general design? Re: transcripts, how much information do you include re the partner institution ? Just a reference, or all modules/results, and perhaps their crest and signatures? Also, do you allow a mixed approach, or do you require all joint agreements (in terms of certificate and transcript production) to be the same?
If anyone has faced similar issues, and you’re able to spare the time to talk to me about your experience in managing joint/dual certificates and transcripts, can you please get back to me with your number and I’ll call after Christmas (I’ll confirm via email when would be a good time to call). Or, a brief account of how you’ve managed would be helpful.
Thank you, and Merry Christmas!
Kathryn
