thanks a lot for your quick response. I also resliced the ROI mask to the mask that tfce genereates automatically, however with the same result. Also changing the file extension did not change the problem. I 'll try redoing the analysis on another system, maybe that will do the trick. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Chris,
the error message is somewhat cryptic (even for me) and I assume that there exist a general issue with your mask image. The easiest way the reslice the mask image is to us the existing mask image in your analysis as reference image (i1). Maybe the file extension is different from your analysis (.nii vs. .img), but this is just a guess...
