We are seeking an enthusiastic researcher to work on a British Academy/Leverhulme funded project to explore women who buy sexual services in the UK. The project, led by Dr Sarah Kingston at the University of Lancaster and Dr Natalie Hammond at Manchester Metropolitan University, seeks to explore motivations and characteristics of women who purchase sexual services, who and where they buy sex from, and to explore how physical and sexual safety are negotiated.
The role of the research assistant will be to undertake primary data collection, analysis and archiving, and dissemination as outlined in the BA/Leverhulme grant proposal. Because of the sensitive nature of this project, we a seeking to appoint an RA who is familiar with and has previous experience of conducting research on sensitive and/or stigmatized issues, such as gender, sex, sexuality, sexual health and prostitution/sex work.
This is 0.5fte, 18.25 hours per week for 6 months of the project.
Interviews are likely to take place on 18 December 2014.
We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups.
