I would like to know if you would be interested in a paper with the title:-
"Intonation and musical consonance of a dyad within a spectrum of repetition pitch". (3000 words)
The paper concerns the significance of pitch ratio as a defining parameter of a musical dyad which I have found can be found within the architecture of a geometrical construction that defines the pitch ratio of notes on the Just Intonation Musical Scale. If the pitch ratio of a dyad is (N/n) where N and n are whole number integers, (e.g. 3/2 for a perfect fifth), it is shown that the perceived musical consonance of a named dyad is inversely proportional to the integer value (n).It is not simply a question, as has been previously thought, of a simple pitch ratio that determines musical consonance. As an example, a perfect fourth (4/3) has the same behavioural consonance rating as a major sixth (5/3).
The paper is complete and ready for submission. I can send you an abstract of the paper.
