*** Apologies for cross postings***
Dear Colleague,
we would like to draw your attention to a forthcoming special issue of
Chemical Physics (Elsevier Publishing, Editor Wolfgang Domcke) on
vibronic interactions in molecules and solids. It will be created on the
occasion of the recent 22nd International Symposium on the Jahn-Teller Effect
which took place in Graz (Austria) from August 18 - 22, and which motivates
also the title of the special issue:
“*Novel Aspects of the Jahn-Teller effect in molecular and solid-state
systems” *
(guest editors Horst Köppel and Wolfgang E. Ernst).
However, we wish to emphasize that the scope of this volume is not only
coverage of the Jahn-Teller effect, but of vibronic coupling phenomena in the
broadest sense. Also, contributions are encouraged not only from
participants of the Jahn-Teller Symposium, but from highly qualified
scientists around the world (with an emphasis both on theory and experiment).
The manuscripts should contain the results of rigorous, new research and will
be subject to peer review like any other article submitted to the journal.
The submission website for this journal is located at:
http://ees.elsevier.com/chemphys/default.asp
To ensure that all manuscripts are correctly identified for inclusion
into the special issue, it is important that authors select "SI: ISJTE
2014" when they reach the "Article Type" step in the submission process.
The detailed instructions for authors to submit their manuscript are
given in the link:
http://www.elsevier.com/wps/find/journaldescription.cws_home/505699/authorinstructions
The deadline for submission is planned to be February 28, 2015 (extendable to
March 31, 2015). The submission window will be open from Dec. 1, 2014 to
February 28, 2015.
In order to get an idea about the number of papers to be expected, we
ask you to send a short notice if you intend to submit a manuscript. We look
much forward to your submission!
With best regards,
Wolfgang Ernst
Horst Köppel
