Herewith some medieval images of Peter of Alexandria. Many depict the vision in which a very youthful Christ whose linen tunic was rent in two is said legendarily to have appeared to Peter when the latter was awaiting execution and to have foretold the Arian schism. In some of these Arius prostrates himself either before Christ or directly below Him.
