medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I can recommend enthusiastically Lisa Bitel's <Isle of the Saints> which is a foundational text for all my courses in Celtic/Irish Christianity. Actually, anything by Lisa Bitel is worth the read!

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hello all,
I am interested in finding a good introduction to early Irish Christianity. I am particularly interested in monasticism, but any area of subject would be nice. Any suggestions?
Best,
Jason
