The Lincoln School of Film & Media, University of Lincoln, would like to appoint a new external examiner (from Autumn 2015) to cover multi-camera / television studio projects across all three levels of their BA Media Production and BA Film and Television courses.
These courses attract a high number of students, and they involve a large amount of complex practical realisation as well as media theory, along with critical reflection and portfolio work. At levels one and two students work in groups to create 'live' projects, while at level three they complete year-long projects, with post-production.
At all levels students are encouraged to push the boundaries of conventional television, and produced challenging and creatively imaginative outcomes. The appointed external examiner would need experience of practical multi-camera work and the television studio environment, as well as an academic track record in an appropriate field and ideally some experience of external examining elsewhere. The successful applicant will join a team of external examiners who oversee and advise on the two BA programmes mentioned here.
If you would like to be considered for this role, please could you send your CV and a short statement outlining your suitability and interest, to:
