ARCHIVES 2.0: EMERGING RESEARCHER PANEL
I'm delighted to announce that we will also have Dr. Helen Finch (University of Leeds) giving a presentation ("Performing the Jewish Archive") in the context of the ARCHIVES 2.0 pre-conference!
Below more info about ARCHIVES 2.0 and the pre-conference event:
"Archives 2.0 - Saving the Past, Anticipating the Future" (http://www.nationalmediamuseum.org.uk/Collection/ArchivesConference) is the title of an international conference that will take place at the National Media Museum (Bradford - UK) on 25 and 26 of November 2014. Due the great amount of interesting proposals we've received, we have decided to organise a pre-conference event which will include three promising presentations from emerging researchers.
We are happy therefore to invite you to this event, which is scheduled for Monday 24 November 2014, from 17.30 to 19.30, at the School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds. The programme is:
· Pre-digital archives: Discovering a lost past - Dimitra Gkitska (MFA in Curating Student, Goldsmiths College, University of London)
· Conservation of Media Art, institutions and practices in museums in the Digital Age - Laura Plana Gracia (Lecturer, Researcher & Curator, University of Sunderland)
· Archival Knowledge and the Documents of Dance - Laura Griffiths (AHRC CDA Candidate, University of Leeds)
. Performing the Jewish Archive - Dr Helen Finch (Associate Professor in German, School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, University of Leeds)
Attendance at this event is FREE, so please book via the following link:
