I've left in the messages as they are a useful theme.
The event happened. The British Academy and the AHRC were partners. I now understand the TMI bit, it was a post modernist reference to Orwell and the Ministry of Information. There are still people who think 1984 had something to do with Russia.
The interesting thing was the complete absence of classification, collecting and the stuff up stairs. Being human, the only uniting thing is collecting and classifying. I hope some cilippers get onto AHRC, the British Academy, the British Library and School of Advanced Studies, University of London, and suggest some library co-operation.
I did my pop app, and will report it on the [log in to unmask] list.

I'm at Senate House for the Too Much Information within the Being Human, Festival of Humanities.
The obvious question is how can one have too much information, particularly about being human? Does this mean that within a community of lis, the word information has a meaning different from other communities, in which case, who, whom is the immortal question.
The second immortal question might be is what unites us more significant than what divides us?
During the festival I'm creating a #kneword called Archeknology #Archeknology and I'm doing a popp app at 13.00. Whether I do any more posts to lis-link will depend on what occurs. Meanwhile the major point of report will be the nfip list on jiscmail, [log in to unmask]
