Repository Officer London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, an internationally renowned centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health, is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced person to work on the School’s institutional repository, LSHTM Research Online. The post holder will work closely with the Repository Manager with compliance on open access publishing, including overseeing payment of article processing charges from publishers. They will ensure the accuracy of metadata records in LSHTM Research Online and provide guidance to internal and external users on open access publishing and funding requirements.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of working on an institutional repository and open access publishing. To apply you should also have knowledge of metadata/bibliographic standards, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to organise your time to meet tight deadlines. Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail, plus the ability to work as part of a team are also essential.
This post is part-time for 9 months fixed term, 8 January 2015 – 7 October 2015. The post holder is required to work 14 hours/week between Monday to Friday. Exact hours will be by agreement, on the proviso that they are worked between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm.
