Well WM2 Ver 3 didn't last long;WM2 is dead long live WM3! The way waste is classified and assessed is changing significantly on 1st June 2015 as a result of several changes: • amendments to the List of Waste (or European Waste Catalogue) • a major revision of hazardous properties, and • the adoption of the a new system of chemical classification The Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales have opened a consultation document on the proposed new Technical Guidance WM3 which runs until end Jan 2015. https://consult.environment-agency.gov.uk/portal/ho/waste/tech/guidance?pointId=3136200 The replacement to Table 3.1 is here http://echa.europa.eu/information-on-chemicals/cl-inventory-database?p_p_id=clinventory_WAR_clinventoryportlet&p_p_lifecycle=0&p_p_state=normal&p_p_mode=view&p_p_col_id=column-1&p_p_col_pos=1&p_p_col_count=2&_clinventory_WAR_clinventoryportlet_searching=true&_clinventory_WAR_clinventoryportlet_jspPage=%2Fhtml%2Fview.jsp which looks rather user friendly Some new hazardous properties - POPs are dealt with as a specific item and some of the old propoerties have been merged. There are only minor changes to Appendix D on sampling. Happy reading Clive
