Hello Matt. This is similar to a topic I posted on Yammer this week … but there is no consensus. My question related to public open space that is ‘suitable for use’ provided no-one goes digging (tree planting, play equipment, public utilities) and how you police that. In answer to your question, we have written to residents where the contamination is ‘managed’ advising them to store the letter with their deeds. Whether they choose to do so is beyond our control. For council property, we have asked Estates to store the information with the relevant title. Again, whether anyone ever reads it is difficult to say. Do let me know if you get any answers; obviously I’ll see anything posed here. Cheers, Don @ Fife Council.
