Research funding at UCL-Institute of the Americas
* Trudeau Foundation Scholarship
The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation<http://www.trudeaufoundation.ca/en> provides up to 15 scholarships annually to prospective and current MPhil/PhD students who carry out research in areas related to the Foundation's four themes in the social sciences and humanities:
* Human Rights and Dignity
* Responsible Citizenship
* Canada in the World
* People and their Natural Environment
Applicants must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants pursuing full-time doctoral studies in Canada or foreign institutions. Candidates will be considered by the Foundation only if they have been nominated by a university. The scholarships provide $60,000 per scholar for up to four years. * London Arts and Humanities Partnership (LAHP) AHRC doctoral training programme - applications for 2015/16 open on 1st December 2014. This scheme is open to UK and EU applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. Applications close on 30th January 2015. Additionally, you must have submitted an admissions application to UCL by 16th January. Full details can be found here<http://www.lahp.ac.uk/apply-for-a-studentship/>.

* Wolfson Scholarships - Postgraduate Scholarships in Humanities. Applications for 2015/16 are now open. This scheme is open to UK and EU applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. To apply please submit an online PhD admissions application including a research proposal, and also notify the Institute Manager, Abi Espie at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> that you wish to be considered, along with a letter from your potential supervisor confirming that they are willing to supervise the specific project outlined by 16th January 2015. * UCL Graduate and Overseas Research Scholarships (GRS/ORS) - Applications for 2015/16 are now open. To apply please submit an online PhD admissions application including a research proposal. Additionally, you will need to submit a GRS/ORS application form to the Institute Manager, Abi Espie at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by 16th January 2015.
