Watch the LGBTI Human Rights in the Commonwealth conference film, from Mandela Day
Videos of the LGBTI Human Rights in the Commonwealth international conference are now available to view online as a resource for education and activism. The conference was held at University of Glasgow on Mandela Day, 18 July 2014. Six videos produced by University of Glasgow are available on the Glasgow Human Rights Network website:

This conference was a collaboration between Glasgow Human Rights Network, Equality Network, Kaleidoscope Trust and Pride Glasgow, with a steering group also including international LGBT activists. The opening Keynote Addresses were by Fiona Hyslop MSP, Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary for Culture & External Affairs; Dr Frank Mugisha, Executive Director Sexual Minorities Uganda, Nobel Peace Prize nominee; and Dr Purna Sen, Former Head of Human Rights at the Commonwealth Secretariat and Chair of Kaleidoscope Trust. Other speakers included Nigerian activist Bisi Alimi, Mayur Suresh who has legally represented Voices Against 377 in India, Peter Tatchell, and Patrick Harvie MSP.
The conference produced the LGBTI Human Rights in the Commonwealth Conference Statement which can be read on the main conference website, which also has the programme, relevant links, and photos from the event.
