ADMINISTRATOR
14 hours per week
£12.60 per hour
As Administrator, you will work across all areas, forming a key part of the Core-staff group, the decision-making body which manages the organisation and comprises all staff and regular freelancers. Grounded in your smooth running of MayDay Rooms' office, you will organise administrative tasks relating to building hire, archiving and projects and events, as well as maintain an overview of the overall scheduling of activities and meetings. You will be primary liaison for a range of agencies the charity deals with (Charities Commission, Companies House, Glass-House Trust, etc.), and handle organisational queries.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
-Experience of the standard software tools and online environments used for word processing, budgeting, calendaring, job tracking, etc.
-Knowledge of the administrative dimension of running a building-based organisation, with a variety of activities running in parallel, from hosting users to running a programme of events – some of which have a financial dimension
-Experience of managing collaborative projects to deadlines

TECHNICAL COORDINATOR
7 hours per week
£12.60 per hour
With added hours in the initial month for assessing and upgrading current set-up.
As Technical coordinator, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of digitisation workflows, the internal network, internet and 'cloud' – for staff and visitors alike. To start, an assessment will need to be made of the current set-up; some new purchases and installations will likely prove necessary, and these will be your responsibility. There will later be scope to get involved in the digital programme and further expansion of the website. You will work closely with the Digital Programme coordinator, as well as those managing Building use and archiving. Together with all staff and regular freelancers, you will form part of the Core-staff group which runs the organisation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
-A keen interest in the area of digital archiving and 'activation' processes
-Experience of network and server admin work – ideally in a small or medium sized organisation -Knowledge of FLOSS tools available for management of this work; the ability to judge their suitability for the context
-Experience of communicating on technical issues with a diverse group, including co-workers, visitors and suppliers

INCOME DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
7 hours per week
£12.60 per hour
As Income Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for new ideas and models to help MayDay Rooms increase its income. Working imaginatively with the organisation's resources (a unique building and historical material, security of tenure and a stable core grant), you will build revenue in ways that are sensitive to its politics and the needs of its community. We expect historical material, building hire, membership and technical services to provide the seeds of research in this area (strict IP management, grants demanding social or financial outputs and corporate sponsorship would be inappropriate). Ideas towards this work exist in the organisation, but we are not wedded to these exclusively and expect ongoing discussion, and some trial and error, as necessary to establishing a working model.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
-A good grasp of the financial needs of small and medium sized organisations; evidence of existing work developing income generation models (and/or new ideas for these)
-Knowledge of the income generation models in use in educational charities; the ability to judge their suitability for the MayDay Rooms context
-A confident approach to initiating research and contacts associated with new areas of development
