You will provide statistical support, under supervision, in project areas relevant to the Department of Biostatistics and will be given the opportunity to develop skills in the conduct and analysis of pharmacogenetic studies. Opportunities will also be available to develop consultancy and teaching skills. You will have experience of research in some area of applied statistics and of using the statistical programming language R. You will have a First class degree with a relevant statistics component for appointment at Grade 6, an MSc in medical or applied statistics for appointment at Grade 7, and a PhD in Statistics for appointment at Grade 8.
You will be accountable to the Director of the Department of Biostatistics, Professor Paula Williamson. Pharmacogenetics project supervision will be provided by Dr Andrea Jorgensen. Professional development will be supported and appropriate training will be provided. The post is available for 2 years initially.
