Hi Jonathan,
We will indeed be meeting with CSC before Christmas. The purpose of the meeting is mainly to ensure that CSC understands the safety notice and to answer any questions of clarification they
have. We can also raise issues that may have arisen due to a misunderstanding of, for example, the process by which the algorithm will be reviewed and updated. (no updated versions planned at the moment). However we are not intending to be the conduit through which Trusts negotiate with LIMS suppliers such as CSC. This must be achieved directly between supplier and customer. It is important that an appropriate dialogue takes place. This mailbase is one mechanism - LIMS suppliers can subscribe to it. LIMS usergroups are another.
Best wishes,
Robert

Subject: Re: Annual fee for LIMS providers?
Hi Robert,
I wondered if you now had a date for the meeting with CSC with regards to this previous post - and whether this is going to be pre Christmas?
We are keen to get up and running as soon as possible - though ideally need to clarify CSC's position as they are our LIMS provider.
Our ICE provider remains keen to promptly and competitively provide a fully functioning 'all in one' e-alert adopting the national algorithm - with many attractive features to us (especially the ability to incorporate community-based creatinines from across whole region - as same ICE system widely used throughout region; some community creatinine measures may not be captured by distinct LIMS systems used by different Trusts within region). I assume as previously stated that a LIMS-based system remains the only option in order to comply with the original AKI safety alert, even though we have encountered some difficulties getting LIMS-based system set-up in a timely fashion - and that all other Trusts are thus using LIMS-based systems?
Best Regards,
Jon
