We are aware that some Trusts use the enzymatic method for paediatric specimens and the Jaffe method for adults.
When this was raised with CSC, they were not aware of the situation. The design of their software module containing the NHS England AKI algorithm
has not taken this into account so it will need to be modified. Note that this is not a change to the algorithm but rather to the software environment
within which it operates. It is also likely that other LIMS suppliers have overlooked this. It is important that Trusts in this situation contact their LIMS suppliers as soon as possible.
