Dear Jon,
Members of the NHS England AKI Programme Measurement Workstream and I met with CSC this week to offer advice to their programmers about the requirements of the June safety notice around data collection. CSC are now aware that the NHS England AKI algorithm is unlikely to be changed in the next 12 months and that there are no current plans to change it in the following year either.
CSC's charging structure for their software updates is a matter between them and their customers rather than for NHS England. I suggest that you contact CSC and ask them if the clarifications given to them this week
alter their position wrt annual software maintenance charges. We have no plans to meet with CSC again unless they request such a meeting.
Best wishes,
Robert
